About Briarcliffe Acres, SC - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Briarcliffe Acres is located in Horry County, SC and lies between Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach.  The population was 400 in 2000.  You will not find that this small municipality, itself, is bustling but it is surrounded by some very busy and well-known tourist attractions.  The four distinct seasons in this area offer something special for visitors and residents that can’t be found at every beach town.  If you are visiting in the warmer spring and summer months then you will enjoy the beaches, sun and sand and, in the winter, you may just get lucky and see a “White Christmas” at the sea.

Myrtle Beach is a busy and fun tourist town full of restaurants, attractions and nightlife.  There are putt-putt courses, standard golf courses, water parks, fishing charters and more.  You will never be bored on a visit to Myrtle Beach.  It is a great way to spend a day and then return back to the quieter and more peaceful feel of the small town of Briarcliffe Acres.  Visiting in the cooler months? Check out the aquarium, restaurants, shopping or the Wheels of Yesteryear Museum which is chock full of classic cars.

North Myrtle Beach is a slightly less busy version of Myrtle Beach which has a great deal to do with a little bit less crowding and “hoopla.”  The shopping center in North Myrtle where everything is located is Barefoot Landing. It is a hot spot at any time of year. If you visit in the cooler months, it’s a must-see as it is a great way to keep warm and enjoy “retail therapy” as you duck in and out of shops and restaurants. At this large outdoor mall, you will find a wide variety of stores, nightlife, restaurants and more.  There is a carousel for the kids and weekly fireworks in the warm, summer months. You can also visit a tiger preservation center where you can pose for a photograph with a tiger as well as an alligator adventure where you can touch and hold a live alligator and learn about both types of wildlife in a secure environment.

If you are in the area you should certainly visit “The Seafood Capital of the World,” Calabash, NC. In this small, quaint village you will find delicious seafood restaurants as well as golf courses, shops and more.  It is a quiet and peaceful tourist town for families and older adults looking for something a bit less hectic than Myrtle Beach or even North Myrtle Beach. In particular, this is a nice place to avoid the beach crowds in the warm weather months but it is also quite beautiful in the winter.
